Alerts

Serpnest's Alerts feature allows you to receive notifications via email when your keywords meet specific conditions that you have set. This helps you stay on top of significant changes without having to constantly monitor your dashboard.

Types of Alerts

You can configure alerts based on two main categories:

  • Alerts by Project: This option allows you to monitor the overall performance of all keywords within a project. You will receive alerts if any keyword in the project meets the predefined conditions.
  • Alerts by Keyword: If you prefer to monitor specific keywords rather than entire projects, this option lets you set alerts individually for each keyword.

How to Set Up Alerts

  1. Log in to your Serpnest account and go to the account section.
  2. Select 'Add New Alert' to start configuring your alerts.

Configuring Your Alerts

  • Alert Condition: Define what triggers an alert. You have five conditions to choose from:
    • Changes by more than: Alerts you if a keyword's ranking changes by more than 'X', with 'X' being your specified number.
    • Enters the top: Alerts you if a keyword enters the top 'X' positions, with 'X' being your specified number.
    • Leaves the top: Alerts you if a keyword drops out of the top 'X' positions, with 'X' being your specified number.
    • Improves more than: Alerts you if a keyword's position improves by more than your specified number.
    • Declines more than: Alerts you if a keyword's position declines by more than your specified number.
  • Project: Select the project for which you want to set up alerts.
  • Email: Specify the email address where alerts should be sent. If you prefer not to receive email notifications, you can deselect the 'Alert via email' option. Alerts will still be available for review on your dashboard.

Once you set the conditions and triggers, the Alerts table on your dashboard will display all the alerts whenever they are triggered by the conditions you've established. This feature ensures you are always informed about significant changes in your keyword performance, allowing you to react swiftly and effectively.
